DAILY GRIND CAFE

The owners of Daily Grind came to Red Ski Creative with a 21st century dilemma. How does a café stand out in a modern landscape congested with “second wave” coffee shops, a la Starbucks? We immediately started brewing up solutions.

To start, we recognized that this business was situated in a neighborhood teeming with young families and college students all in need of two things–strong coffee and an equally strong WiFi signal. By combining these two ideas we were able to reinforce this brand’s differentiators, resulting in the name “Daily Grind”, along with the tag line “Strong Coffee and Signal.”  The intent of this brand strategy was to inspire consumers to socialize, work, and study for longer periods of time, thus boosting food sales as well ordering two or more cups of coffee!

For Daily Grind we also created a hip, urban-looking main logo and sub-logo that appears on their buildings’ windows, mugs, and takeout cups.  Lastly we consulted on interior design and business card graphics. In the end we helped develop a brand image that signals much more than your average cup of Joe.
